The Saudi Pro League announced the reaffirmation of the approved criteria for selecting winners of the monthly best performance awards presented by Roshn, in addition to the best of the season awards for the 2025-2026 sports season.
The league confirmed that the main goal of these awards is to promote integrity, raise the level of competition, and motivate players and coaches to give their best throughout the season.
The evaluation process is carried out by a technical committee consisting of five experts: Turki Al-Sultan (reporting member), Sultan Al-Lihyani, Khalid Al-Shanif, Manaf Abu Shaqir, and Obaidullah Al-Issa.
The technical team works according to a transparent mechanism for calculating points to ensure the selection of winners based on actual performance on the field.
The awards distributed monthly and seasonally include the following categories:
Best goalkeeper – dedicated to Saudi and born-in-Saudi goalkeepers. Best young player – exclusively for Saudi and born-in-Saudi players. Best Saudi player and best player of the sports season. Best coach. Golden Boot for the league’s top scorer.With the start of the first round of the Roshn Saudi League for the new season, several awards were presented to last season’s winners, most notably:
Salem Al-Dawsari – Best Saudi Player award before Al-Hilal vs. Al-Riyadh match. Koen Casteels – Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper. Musab Al-Juwayr – Best Young Player award in the Al-Qadsiah vs. Al-Najma match.The distribution of the remaining awards will be completed in the second round, where it is expected that:
Karim Benzema – Best Player award before the Al-Ittihad vs. Al-Fateh match. Laurent Blanc – Best Coach award. Cristiano Ronaldo – Golden Boot award as last season’s top scorer before the Al-Nassr vs. Al-Khulood match.The league confirmed that the continued presentation of monthly and seasonal awards represents recognition of the efforts of players and coaches, enhances the spirit of competition, and serves the interest of developing Saudi football, in line with the Roshn League’s goals of raising the level of enjoyment and excitement for the fans.
